Epic Trailquests, a new series in the Lakes & Dales

Epic Trailquests are a new series of trailquests around the South Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. The aim of the Epic series is to offer great riding in beautiful locations for all levels and experiences. So if you are a keen trailquester or simply after a fun day out Epic Trailquests is definitely something you should check out! TG Ski, Grizedale Mountain Bikes and V Publishing are the event sponsors and have put up some fantastic prizes. If you enter two Epic Trailquests you are automatically entered into the prize draw to win a one week holiday in Morzine (terms and conditions apply), the European mecca for mountain bikers. Other prizes include some great gear, mountain biking guide books plus loads more. A trailquest is orienteering on a mountain bike where 20 to 30 control sites of varying values are positioned alongside bridleways, byways or forestry trails. The aim is to collect as many points as possible within an allocated time. A map is issued at the start of the event with the check points marked on. You can choose the route you take depending on your navigation skills and biking ability. The route can be as easy or as hard as you like, you then have a maximum time to complete the challenge, Epic Trailquests are 3hr events but you can complete the challenge in any time you like as long as it is under 3hrs. Solos and pairs can enter the event in our seven categories. Epic Trailquests has been started by three friends who are keen bikers of varying levels. Each passionate about biking and who wanted to put on events for others so they too could enjoy the fells and dales not matter what their biking experience.
